Stephanie Sampson
DNP, APRN, FNP-C
Hello! I’m Dr. Stephanie Sampson, a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the proud owner of Cache Health.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of California, San Francisco in 2024, following a Master of Science in Nursing from Weber State University (2019) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland (2007). I began my career as a registered nurse in 2007 and have been practicing as a nurse practitioner since 2019, bringing years of clinical experience and a deep commitment to patient-centered care.
Originally from rural north-central Florida, I served nine years in the U.S. Army before settling in Cache Valley in 2010 after living in Alaska. My military background continues to shape my approach to medicine—grounded in accountability, collaboration, and respect. I believe the best healthcare happens when patients are empowered to be active partners in their care.
I’m especially passionate about providing inclusive, affirming care for all, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups. At Cache Health, every patient is welcomed with dignity and treated as a whole person.
I live in Hyde Park with my husband, Curtis, and our four amazing sons—Dylan, Max, Eli, and Cole. Our family also includes Ellie, our sweet labradoodle; Gregg, our leopard gecko; and Lucy, a goldendoodle currently training to be a therapy dog. Lucy often accompanies me at work, offering calm companionship and comfort to patients of all ages.
Outside the clinic, I love spending time with my family, especially near the ocean, listening to true crime podcasts, building puzzles, lifting weights, creating diamond art, and assembling Lego sets. I’m also a founding board member of Utah Families Feeding Families, a local nonprofit organization committed to fighting food insecurity in our community.
Adam Hunsaker
APRN, FNP
Hello, I am Adam Hunsaker. I am a nurse practitioner and avid Chicago Cubs fan. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2020 with a Master’s of Science degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Utah (2009), and Master’s of Science in Nursing Education (2015).
I have worked in large and small hospital settings at the University of Utah and near Moab, Utah. I taught at Utah State University for four years in the nursing program, and as a clinic instructor for EMT students at the University of Utah. I most recently worked in the Emergency Room, and I have experience in home health, wound care, labor and delivery, and seizures.
I began my career as a nurse practitioner in Idaho working in a rural clinic. I loved this, as I grew up working 10 seasons on a farm in Layton, Utah. I began speaking Spanish on the farm, and later served a service mission for my church in Argentina, where I learned more Spanish. I enjoy helping Spanish speaking and other underserved populations. On the farm I picked so much corn by hand, I still have a hard time eating corn…maybe one day I will enjoy it again.
I love helping people with addictions and I prescribe Suboxone. I am happy to help with chronic and acute health care needs. I enjoy helping people with ADHD, bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, and other mental health conditions.
When I am not at work, I am likely playing with my children or on the farm. I have milking goats, Brown Swiss cows, bees and a small orchard. I have lived in Cache valley for over 8 years and I love it here. My parents come from Deweyville and Henefer, Utah.
I believe patients know themselves the best, and my job is to provide options and let the patient lead their own care. I work with you to find the best options for your health, and you can choose how to proceed.
Meet Lucy — Our Therapy Dog (In Training)
Say hello to Lucy, our friendly goldendoodle and therapy dog in training at Cache Health!
Lucy was born in December 2024 and is already showing a natural talent for bringing calm, comfort, and connection to our clinic space. With her gentle nature and warm presence, she helps make visits less stressful—especially for children, individuals with anxiety, or anyone who just needs a moment of kindness during their day.
Lucy is currently undergoing formal training to become a certified therapy dog through the professional trainers at Arete Canine Purpose in Newton, Utah. She’s learning how to offer support while staying calm, respectful, and responsive to patient needs. She’s supervised at all times and is never in the room unless welcomed by you.
We understand that not everyone is comfortable around animals. If you prefer a dog-free visit, just let us know—we’re happy to accommodate.
At Cache Health, we believe healing can happen in many forms. For some, it looks like evidence-based care and open conversation. And for others, it just might look like a tail wag and a nuzzle from Lucy.
